Happy Monday my quilting peeps! I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend. I know I did. My hubby came home from a 2 week deployment which seems like nothing compared to the 4 month or longer deployments. But it’s always great to get him back home.
I wanted to show a little sneak peek at what I started last week. I can’t wait to get it finished so I can quilt it. I have so many ideas for this one. Gah! I want it pieced now.
I used my Moda Gypsy Girl layer cake which I love! It’s full of blue, green & pink. Great spring colors.
Any ideas on what the design will be? I think you all will love it as much as I do.
I can’t wait to quilt it which is unusual for me. I usually stress for days over what design I will use. Not this time, I have tons of ideas. Maybe that means I’m getting more comfortable with my quilting skills. I sure hope so.
I’ve also been working on one of my February quilting goals the last couple of days. I didn’t get much accomplished today but hopefully tomorrow I will finish it. Fingers crossed…
I also wanted to share an awesome swap I just signed up to do. It’s a Vintage Patchwork Sheet Swap and you can sign up here. They are due in the mail by Feb 28th. There’s still lots of time to find some vintage sheets and get them mailed. You should go look at all the gorgeous quilts in the Flickr group…
It looks like some kind of chevron quilt to me. Connie says to say hello.

Something with…are they 60 degree diamonds for 45 degree. I can’t wait to see it all done!
I think they are going to be hearts, hearts for your hubby.
Hi Vicki, Connie from Free Motion Quilting says to say HI.
Glad hubby made it home. Don’t stress out about quilting this. It will come in time. 🙂 Can’t wait to see what you make from this fabric. 🙂
I love that line! I have 3 charm packs plus charms from her first line. Your pattern looks really nice. I’m looking forward to the reveal. I’m glad your hubby is home. I hope the war is over soon. I want you to hug him for Me, Judy, and tell him thank you for keeping us free, at least for a while. I look back with greater pride than I look forward to. Thank you. Judy
I’m just checking you out and want to say “hi” from Connie. Thanks for sponsoring her giveaway:-) You have an awesome blog too!
This looks great! I love those bright happy colors!
