I am a proud military wife and mother to my two wonderful children, Hannah and Jake. My family puts up with my quilting obsession rather well. They don’t even complain when I don’t cook dinner because I’m hard at work quilting. I never dreamed that I would become a quilter. It just kind of happened and I’m so thankful that it did.
In 2010 my father did the most generous thing ever...he bought me a Gammill Premier quilting machine. I was speechless. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful father. He had faith that I would be able to use the machine and make beautiful quilts. Dad and I decided my Gammill should be named Roscoe. And as they say, the rest is history.
Roscoe and I have become great friends. This wasn't always the case because I was very intimidated by him. I didn't have a clue how to use a longarm machine. I watched the DVD that came with the machine and started playing. I wasn't sure I would ever get the hang of quilting but I kept practicing. And practicing. And practicing.
I truly believe quilting is an art. I specialize in freehand custom quilting because it's my favorite. Each quilt is unique and each stitch is carefully thought out. You can see some of my work here.
