I have officially finished the No Name Appliqué quilt. Now I have to name it. Ugh…I hate this part. I’m terrible with names but this one has to have a name so I can enter it in a contest.
Have a look…
My brain is just not working very well. Unfortunately, my family is no help. My daughter suggested Black Betty {don’t ask me, she’s 15}. And my husband, let’s just say most of his suggestions are inappropriate to repeat. But he did make me laugh so hard I was crying.
I hope I can come up with something before Sunday.
Well, you already know I LOVE this quilt! I can’t wait for the pattern….I think it should be called:
No name required.
Corny, but since you have started calling it No name and it is pretty awesome on its own–I don’t think a name is required! LOL
It kind of reminds me of Tiger’s eye. That would be a cool name for it!
I love it but the Mr. just walked up behind me and made a comment about the shapes that I have a feeling are close in range to what your husband said too! Just go with it… call it Hoo Ha!
Love this quilt! I sick at naming quilts too so I am no help!
Vicki — I’m still in love with this quilt — the quilting is as stunning as the design and color choices. I’m sure it will win a ribbon !!
When I first saw it I thought “Topsy Turvey” would be appropriate — or “All Spun Up”, or “Love Spun”…
I think no matter what the name it will go places — it is very unique !

I love this quilt, for some reason it reminds me of movie Aladdin so I think maybe something along the lines of Jasmine’s Dream or Moroccan Memories. What ever you decide I know everyone will want it. Hope you win a ribbon.
Oh yes! I was just thinking the same thing as Crickets Corner – Aladdin!!! It has a real far east feel to it – very mysterious and sensual! It is just an amazing quilt. I like the Tiger’s Eye suggested too :*) Are you making a pattern for it?
Just love how it looks after quilting, beautiful!
Mystical Spheres sounds good!
Love it! Uhm.. My hubby evidently has a man mind also because he said “you know what that looks like…..” UGH! Men and their one track minds.
It actually reminds me of those ornaments that have sort of an ingressed (is that the word I want?) area with a complimentary color. My Great Gran had a bunch of them and I used to love to just sit and look at them. 🙂
I can imagine what your husband said. Now that I am thinking that I can’t unsee it. LOL! But I love the quilt so I am sure I will get over it. Ty look like old time Christmas ornaments to me.
Reminds me of Baliwood.

I think it looks like one of those wind spinners that have the different pieces that spin inside one another…don’t know the name for them so hopefully you understand what the heck I’m talking about!
I think it should be called Peacock’s Pose. It reminds me of the shapes seen in peacock feathers when they do their pose for females.
I lov ethe quilt, can I tell you if you hold it sideways it reminds me of the ‘seeing eye’ from the hobbit/lord of the rings… you know what I am talking about?? If you wanted to go dark you could call it Sauron, but you might get some odd reactions to that one BTW I have only seen the movies ONCE I am NOT a huge hobbit fan, but every time I see this pattern it reminds me o that eye!!
One more, I also think on its side it looks like laughing mouths! Or giggles!!! 🙂
Love how you quilted it! How about Taj Mahal!
What a beautiful quilt. I can guess what you husband was suggesting. I suggest you name it Bliss!
You can’t unring a bell! But in an attempt to, how about Flickering Flames.it does look like candles.
Ever since you first posted pictures it reminds of the spinners people hang outside (or inside). The colors circling in the wind. I love these blocks! You’ll think of a name soon.
I’m thinking Magic Eye!
It reminds me of the craft of weaving yarn on intersecting popsicle sticks!
Lots of great names tho!
Take care, Leslie
