Hello my friends!! We’re currently looking for someone to join our team and help run the edge to edge machines. No experience necessary. I can teach you all about longarm quilting. You do need to be able to be on your feet all day with some bending and lifting. Sewing experience is awesome but also not necessary.

Hey hey hey friends! I have a fun Friday share. My latest project, Sunset Stars, is debuting in the August issue of American Patchwork & Quilting. This one had to grow on me because it’s not my normal color palette. Before I quilted it I wasn’t even sure if I liked it. 😂😂 My daughter loved it so much she claimed it before it was ever finished. Don’t worry, I’ll share some up close pics of the quilting in future posts.

A little sneaky peek at an upcoming quilt. This one really stretched me and had me outside my comfort zone. The color palette isn’t my norm and I wasn’t sure I loved it at first. But it grew on me. And now I do like it. I actually designed something without using hot pink and aqua. 🤣🤣🤣 It’s a miracle. I can’t wait to show you all the whole quilt. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. 😎😎

It’s finished!!! Whew!! Just in the nick of time

It’s finished!!! Whew!! Just in the nick of time to get it shipped back to @eyecandyquilts. I LOVE how this one turned out. Lots of ruler work, swirls, ribbon candy, and a few feathers. I only used 9 thread colors. 🤪🤪 We decided on double batting, cotton + wool, both by @quiltersdream. The pattern is called Puppytooth which is an original design of @eyecandyquilts. The fabrics are Oracle and Dottir also by Eye Candy Quilts. Pure perfection! You should definitely add these fabrics to your stash! And of course all of this yummy quilting was done on Yasmine, my 22” classic INNOVA longarm. I couldn’t do it without her! You should def get one of your own and I can help you with that. 🙃😉

My plexiglass is my bff when it comes to designing the quilting. ☺️ I could’ve skipped adding the border but I wanted that blank space to quilt a phantom extension of the piecing. I used two layers of batting, cotton + wool, both @quiltersdream products. This quilt was designed in EQ8, pieced by my mom, quilted by me on the best INNOVA longarm in the universe, and featured in the June 2022 issue of American Patchwork & Quilting.

One of my all time fave things to do is submit designs to magazines. It’s always fun to see my design in print but mostly it’s the only way I ever carve out time for my own projects. Meet In the Limelight! 😆🙄 My awesome mom pieced this one for me because she rocks and I hate piecing. Hate. Piecing. 🤣🤣🤣 I’ll share a few more pics with close ups of the quilting in another post. I must say…this is one of my all time fave quilts. Figuring out the quilting was fun and challenging. And of course it has allllllll my fave colors including Kona sheen metallic solids. 😍😍 And guess what?! We have kits so you can make one too!! **kit does NOT include pattern so you’ll need to run out and buy a magazine - June issue of American Patchwork & Quilting.

I’m super fortunate because I get to work on some really fun quilts! This one belongs to Kandy. She did a great job piecing it and the colors are pure perfection. She told me to have fun with it so I did. 😎 Lots of swirls, pebbles, and ribbon candy! Double batting really pops the quilting!

We are having a fabulous class this Saturday on Free flow quilting. This is my version of graffiti style quilting and it’s super fun and pretty fast to accomplish.

The class is from 10-2 and costs $60 plus a $20 kit fee. Each student will get hands on time on our fabulous INNOVA longarm machines.
