I want each and every one of you to know how touched I was at all the kind comments and prayers for my dad and our family. It’s so awesome to have a group of friends that I’ve never met face to face that offer up such amazing support in trying times. It means the world to me and my family. I haven’t yet responded to you all individually but I read every comment you left and I was so touched!
On to dad…the surgery was successful. Dad now has 3 screws in his right hip and he will have a cast on his right elbow for about 4 weeks. That should be awesome in the hot and humid southeast Missouri weather. Maybe he’ll get lucky and the hot weather will hold off until he’s out of the cast. He’ll be in the hospital over the weekend but should get to go home early next week.
You all are the most wonderful blogging friends a girl could have! I’ll be back to regular blogging Monday….I have lots of upcoming projects to finish and share.

I am so happy for him. It is good to know that the surgery went well. Still praying that he has a speedy recovery and all goes well when he returns home.
At this rate summer may not come! 🙂 At least it doesn’t appear to be coming to KC. I will continue to hold your family in my prayers!

Just glad things went well
So glad everything went well with your dad. I do hope that new cast on his elbow can withstand some water. Our ADDHD son broke his wrist the week before we were leaving for the beach so the doctor put on a cast that could get wet, just not sopping wet. He said we could even run water from a hose through it to get the sand out. He also got to use a straightened coat hanger to scratch with. Good luck with your Dad.
