Guess the Giveaway

It’s Thursday.  That means tomorrow is Friday and we all love Friday!  I think today is a great day for a surprise giveaway because I’m feeling especially loved with all the excitement over my quilt along!
I can’t wait to get started on Monday…but that means you need to go get your Texas Teardrop pattern so you’re ready!   Just so you all know, you will have to set up a craftsy account to get the pattern.  The good news is, the craftsy account is free.  {Please remember, there is a minimal $5.00 fee for the pattern}.  But I totally understand if you prefer not to do it that way.

Feel free to email me directly if you prefer that I email the pattern to you.  My mom figured out that you all would have to have an account to get the pattern.  I guess I didn’t think of everything.

Didn’t I mention a giveaway?  Why yes I did!  I’m going to do things a little different this time.  Today, I’m guest posting over at Melissa’s blog, Sew BitterSweet Designs, and I think you should go check out my post.  Then come back here and try to guess what I’ve decided to giveaway.  I promise you don’t need to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.  For real.

I’ll leave the giveaway open until April 1st at 11:59PM CST.  Mr. Random will pick a lucky winner and I’ll post that info on April 2nd.  Now go get your sleuth on!

  1. I’m guessing its a Flying Geese X4 ruler. You have no idea how much I could use this ruler as I HATE doing flying geese because I haven’t found an easy way to do them. Thanks for the tutorial, makes it look a lot easier.

  2. The flying geese ruler! I loved your tutorial–it was fun to see the different layouts too. Makes me thing I need to make some and try them out.

  3. all right! i’m all excited … i do believe you’re giving away the Flying Geese x 4 “no math” ruler by Lazy Girl! your tute shows me it’s the best of all the prior fg rulers i’ve seen. thanx for the info!

  4. I love Flying Geese too and have been eyeing Joan’s ruler for quite some time…yaa, no math wiz here, LOL! Thanks for a chance to win a Lazy Girl Flying Geese Ruler 🙂

  5. I know this is a really wild guess, but probably the Lazy Girl Flying Geese ruler. This is how I make a lot of my flying geese, but having the ruler would make it so much simpler than having to do the math each time.

Anxiously awaiting the Texas Teardrops QAL. Heading over to Craftsy to get my pattern now.

  6. It’s the magical mystery geese maker! The tear drops quilt is so pretty. I’m not sure I can manage another QAL right now but I’ll certainly follow to see all the variations.

  7. OOOH!!! Are you giving away that super sweet ruler?!!! That’s the first time I’ve seen it, and GREAT tutorial by the way. I bookmarked it.

OR is it those stitch strips? I haven’t seen those either, and I’m going to get some!

OR is it wonderful, delicious fabric? (hey, a girl can hope!)

Thanks for the chance to win.

  8. I’m going to guess you are giving the flying geese ruler away! I really need one! I’ve struggled with my geese always ending up being a bit on the wonky side! I’m super excited for the quilt along! I have purchased and printed out my pattern and am anxious to start! Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  9. Great tutorial on the flying geese ruler…guess that would be what you are giving away!!!!! Totally cool – my geese are usually headless, so this ruler would really help them straighten up and fly right!!! Thank you 🙂

  10. Vicki, I going to make a real educated guess and say: a Flying Geese Ruler! And I sure do hope I win…I love flying geese and loved your tutorial at Melissa’s today. 🙂

  13. I bet it is Flying Geese x 4 ruler. I could really use this. I am terrible at math and avoid these geese things like a plague. This would help me make them correctly and maybe I would come to love them as much as everyone else seems to.

I think you’re probably going to give away one of those cool flying geese rulers! I love the no-waste method, and a ruler to help you cut all those squares would be great.

  32. Well how convenient for me that I just left her blog and then the next email in my inbox was yours so I already read that tutorial. 🙂

I’d love to say you’re going to give us some of those nifty lined papers you were shown using so often. But, I’m guessing that, more than likely it will be that very cool ruler. Orrrrrrr how about that ruler and one of your patterns too? There’s a few possibilities. 🙂
