Quilter’s Blog Hop Party Giveaway

I can’t believe the weekend is almost over and we are one day closer to Christmas!  I don’t know about you all but I’m not even close to being ready.  In fact, I haven’t even really started.  Yikes!

Today we’re participating in the Quilter’s Blog Hop Party sponsored by Michele at Quilting Gallery.  There are over 150 blogs participating in the party!

If you are stopping by our blog for the first time, Welcome!  My mother, Judy, and I blog here on a somewhat regular basis.  Some weeks are better than others.  I love to share my long arm quilting adventures as well as tutorials and product reviews.  Mom loves making clothes for the grandkids and even doll clothes.

Here’s a look at some of my favorite projects.

I hope you take a few minutes to have a look around.  You just might find something you like.  We would love it if you decide to follow us or sign up for our email updates.  You can follow the links in our side bar to find us on facebook, twitter & Pinterest.  A word of warning though…we’re kind of goofy.  I can be a little ornery but I’m a funny girl.  At least I crack myself up!

I wanted to have a tutorial up today to entice all the visitors but that did not happen.  Instead I spent 6 hours shopping with a 16 year old girl.  Talk about fun…not.  We were on a mission to find a dressy outfit for her National Honor Society Induction Ceremony which is tomorrow.  In retrospect, I should’ve carried a flask of whiskey and chugged it.  After all, she has her permit so driving wouldn’t have been an issue.  I’m only kidding…maybe.  Oh, we did find a dress.

Let’s talk giveaway.  I really didn’t know what to select for the giveaway so I’ve decided to let you all pick.

Optin 1: Riley Blake Bundle {this was a big hit last time so here’s a second bundle}

Option 2:  Lazy Angle Ruler.  You can create all kinds of cool blocks with this ruler.  Check out the product review I did here.

Here’s a look at a few of the many blocks this ruler will make.  The possibilities are endless.

All that’s left is entering the giveaway.  Just leave us a comment.  Want an extra entry?  Sign up for email updates or follow us on facebook, twitter or Pinterest.  Just leave a separate comment and let us know you did.

The giveaway is open until Dec 16th at 11:59 PM CST.  I will post a winner on Dec 17th.  Good luck!

I hope everyone has a great night.  I think I’m going to check out all the great giveaways!

  1. I love those fabrics, but AHHHH, they would be so much fun to use with that ruler. What a decision!!?! I guess if pushed, I’d have to pick the fabrics. Thanks for the chance to win them.

  2. Two great options. I love your blog, and I really do love that fabric! Your projects are always amazing. I am a beginner (so much of a beginner that I haven’t cut or sewn anything yet, just purchased fabric). I am still trying to figure out what I want to do for my first project, and waiting for my sewing machine to come out of storage (since we just moved). You are such an inspiration. Thank you for making me excited about quilting! 🙂

  3. I am such a fabric hog that of course that seems the natural choice. However, the blocks are so cute that the idea of making one has my attention. You pick..thank you.

  4. Wow – great fabrics and a very interesting ruler too. I would be happy with either of them -but guess I’d pick the ruler first as I haven’t seen it in any of the stores I visit. Thanks for putting my name in the hat for the drawing.

  5. And for my second chance to win. . . I already receive your email updates. Keep ’em coming! Also, I remember those marathon shopping trips with my daughter! It was not unusual to spend 7 hours shopping in one day! She’s married now so the only thing keeping her from those types of trips is her pocketbook!

  6. You are so funny regarding shopping. I remember those days as I’m sure your Mom does too, except it was a little diferent that many years ago. I love your giveaways. Maybe I’ll win one this time. If I had a choice of course I’d take the ruler but either is a wonderful gift. Thank you.

  7. Ohhhhhhhh, this is so hard. i may have to close my eyes and point….. I think I’ll go for the fabric. Thanks so much for the opportunity on a great giveaway. have a merry Christmas.

  8. The fabric bundle looks wonderful. I have to laugh at your 16-year-old’s dress story. Two weeks ago I had a white dress drama with my 15-year-old who also recently got her driver’s permit. We’re in the same boat!

  9. I am definitely still enthralled by the Riley Blake bundle!! Congrats to the 16 yr old on the honor 🙂 (and congrats to you for surviving the ride.)

  10. I cracked up laughing about your shopping experience… fun times indeed!! Anyhoooo, I love those fabrics… so pretty!! Thanks for the chance!!

  11. Wow! Would loooove both…fabric is gorgeous…and the ruler is soooo cool! lol Think I would use the Ruler sooooo much…so will choose Ruler.

  14. I am not sure I am brave enough to try the Ruler but I guess if I had it I would have to test it out – but then I would need more fabric. I think this is one of those “Chicken and the Egg” moments.

  15. In all the hopping..I have learned that Riley Blake is my first fav line. I have not bothered learning lines…just find what I like, but RB..that is cool stuff! And in this case I love these colors! I am planning a black/white/red quilt next spring, but hey, the deep pink might be just a cool!
    Thanks for the chance!

  16. Super giveaways! I have always loved black and white and this bundle with the bright pink (my favorite color) and the gray and the aqua is so striking; I love it.

  17. and… new email subscriber… (ps I just love that quilt you have at the top of this page, that looks like old-fashioned xmas ornaments, or vaginas (whichever)… off to search for more info on it now…)

  18. You cannot go wrong with fabric giveways. There is always a demand for it. So, you have a very nice giveway. Riley Blake Bundle is always in demand and a Lazy Angler Ruler always comes in handy. Very nice. Thank you for the chance to win. Wishing you Happy Holidays.

  19. I have a 17 year old daughter so I feel your pain when it comes to fancy dress shopping! Hours are spent, and then she decides she wants the very first dress she tried on. Arrrghh!

Those fabrics are wonderful. Black and white print with colorful solids is always a happy thing! 🙂

  20. What a great giveaway. Your quilts are gorgeous. Loved your post, you made me smile. It is a great thing when your kids can drive. They can do your errands and/or be the DD, hehe.

Thank you for a super giveaway and a chance to win.

  21. Oh gosh, you are really making this hard. I SO want that ruler but those fabrics are awesome too. hmmmmmmmmm Ok I’m going to say the ruler. I really would love to have that since I have her book and if I recall a few quilts in there needed that ruler.

    Thank you very much

  22. hmmm….fabric or ruler…fabric or ruler…. decisions, decisions…

Maybe you should design a flask cover for your next adventure? hee hee, congrats to her on being inducted! That is awesome!

  23. I’d love the Riley Blake fabrics! What is the name of that fabulous quilt in your collage? The largest photo of the quilt with the white background? I love it!!
