A few days ago I shared pictures of my progress on the Sew Intertwined QAL. You can check it out here if you missed it. Today I have a picture of the next set of blocks that I have to make.
This block involved Y seams and I was freaking out because I’ve never done Y seams. I’m so proud that I figured it out. I only had to read the Y seam directions about a million times.
One block down, 11 to go! Then this quilt will be ready to put together.
I must say sewing today was a challenge. My silly Pfaff kept skipping stitches. It’s been skipping quite a bit lately and I’ve changed the needle and cleaned it out several times. I think it must be time for a tune up. I just hope she isn’t in the shop for weeks. I think this means I should take a break from piecing and start quilting.
This week is very special because on Wednesday I get to celebrate a very special birthday with my husband…he’s going to be 40! Boy oh boy, where does the time go? Hard to believe we’re getting this old {at least he’ll always be older than me}!
love your colours….I have 11 to go also. It was a bit tedious to think through at first….but went quite well. Better than I expected when I first read it….lol. Try changing the bobbin in your machine…it happened to me once…that worked.
Happy Birthday to your hubs! The block looks fantastic and congrats for conquering y-seams 🙂 Can’t wait to see the next 11.
I just bought a Pfaff two weeks ago. Do you use a certain kind of needle? That’s the one thing I didn’t buy extra of when I was at the shop. I did buy their bobbins (a pkg of 10).
Beautiful block and LOL……wait till you get to my age! Thanks for sharing.
