As you all know I’ve been feverishly working to finish 5 quilts for my step mom. I finished number 4 a couple days ago and I think it turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.
The blocks were embroidered by her mother before she passed several years ago. I added sashing and quilted it.
I free handed a flower in the middle of each block with some swirls and stippling around it.
I used pink thread on the pink sashing which shows up nice on the back. I also mimicked the flowers in the sashing. The downfall of pink thread on yellow backing is the way boo boos stand out. Overall, I think I did pretty good for my first time of free handing flowers.
I hope you all enjoyed seeing quilt number 4 finished! I know I’m relieved to have it finished.
