Ready for binding…

Hello everyone!  I have been a busy little bee around here lately.  I finished my February blocks for the Stash Bee.

By the way, if you’re not a part of the Stash Bee you should check it out.  Or click the cute little button in my sidebar to find out more.  It really is a lot of fun!

I’ve also finished my Salt Air charm pack quilt.  Well, it’s almost finished.  I still need to bind it but that shouldn’t take too long because it’s not that big.   I need to name it but I haven’t come up with anything yet.  Any ideas?

I’m going to put together a tutorial for this pattern.  I just haven’t gotten to that yet.  I used a Salt Air charm pack and 3 different Moda solids.  I love the colors in this one!

I decided I wanted to quilt it with straight vertical lines.  I was able to do that using my channel locks on Roscoe {my Gammill}.  Oddly enough, he did not really like sewing straight lines.  I had trouble with the top thread shredding and breaking.  I don’t usually have that problem so I was baffled.  The only thing I can figure is sewing a straight line puts extra tension on the top thread.  Doesn’t really make sense to me but that’s the only time it shreds.  I was very glad to finish this one.  i think it turned out pretty good.

There hasn’t been much sewing going on around here because I’ve been working hard to get our web site updated.  Boy is that a task.  I still have quite a bit to do but I’m getting there.  I’ve been spending most of my time the last 2 days working on that.

Hopefully I’ll finish updating the website soon because I need to stitch down the applique pieces on my latest blocks.

I think I have 24 blocks…that’s going to take awhile.  And I really don’t like applique.  I’m pretty sure this idea falls into the “what was I thinking???” category!  What was I thinking?  Too bad mom’s not closer…I could sweet talk her into doing it.  :O)

Speaking of mom…didn’t you just love the Pepe le Pew outfits?  She did such a great job on those.

Well I don’t have much more for tonight.  It’s time for me to get back to work on the website.

Happy Sewing!
Vicki
